The Working Mind Facilitator (TWM) Certification Training is your opportunity to gain the skills and knowledge needed to teach others how to build mental health awareness and promote well-being in the workplace. As a certified facilitator, you’ll be equipped to deliver The Working Mind, helping individuals and teams create healthier, more supportive environments. If you’re ready to lead impactful training and make a lasting difference in mental health, this program is for you!
Course Overview:
- Training Duration: The training spans 5 consecutive days, Monday to Friday. Attendance is mandatory for the full duration of each session. Participants who miss more than 30 minutes of any training day will not be eligible to receive certification.
- Format: Available in both virtual and face-to-face options.
- Includes a 2-hour recorded webinar after the live sessions to review course delivery logistics and ensure you’re ready to facilitate.
Registration & Enrollment:
- Application Process: Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee your spot in the course. Once your application has been approved, you will receive an email to finalize your registration. Your place will only be confirmed once payment has been received.
- Approval Validity: Approval for participation is valid for 12 months. After this period, applicants must submit a new application to be considered for the training.
Eligibility Criteria:
To apply for the Facilitator Certification Training, you must demonstrate that you meet the following criteria.
Criteria for Independent Facilitators:
- Minimum 2 years supporting mental health and wellbeing at your workplace or in your community.
- Demonstrated success (paid or volunteer) with facilitating group discussions, training, and/or giving presentations to groups of 8 or more.
- Knowledge of the range of mental health services
- Positive attitudes towards people with mental health problems
- Driven to reduce stigma/discrimination associated with mental health in the workplace.
- Ability to facilitate a minimum number of courses on a yearly basis.
- Proficiency in computer programs such as PowerPoint and Excel, and must have an email address, strong internet connection (for virtual delivery) and access to a computer. The course slides are provided in PowerPoint format only. You will need appropriate software to access and deliver the content.
- Knowledge of delivery platforms such as Zoom or MS Teams (for virtual delivery only)
Criteria for in-house facilitators:
- Experience supporting mental health and well-being at work or in the community.
- Ability to lead group discussions for groups of 8 or more.
- Ability to facilitate a minimum number of courses on a yearly basis (as outlined in the “Facilitator agreement”) and a commitment to meeting this requirement.
- Positive attitudes towards people living with mental health problems.
- Driven to reduce stigma/discrimination associated with mental health in the workplace.
- Ability to facilitate a minimum number of courses on a yearly basis.
- Proficiency in computer programs such as PowerPoint and Excel, and must have an email address, strong internet connection (for virtual delivery) and access to a computer. The course slides are provided in PowerPoint format only. You will need appropriate software to access and deliver the content.
- Knowledge of delivery platforms such as Zoom or MS Teams (for virtual delivery only)
