In this one-day course (9:00 am – 4:00 pm PST) we will guide you through the four most common mental health disorders:
~ Substance Use
~ Mood Disorders
~ Anxiety and Trauma-Related Disorders
~ Psychotic Disorders
Our goal is to help you develop the confidence to have informed and supportive conversations, as well as utilize hands-on skills to assist those experiencing mental health and/or substance use challenges.
Mental Health First Aid is an essential course developed for adults (18+) who want to optimize their skills to support others living with and experiencing mental health challenges.
Course Structure:
Module 1: Overview and introduction to key MHFA concepts – must be completed independently before our virtual classroom date
Modules 2 and 3: Will be completed together in an interactive virtual environment where you’ll dive deeper into real-world applications of MHFA skills. Practice scenarios, learn effective strategies, and explore the importance of self-care in supporting mental health.

Gentle Reminders and Detailed Information:
- A link to the self-paced learning Module 1 will be emailed to participants before class begins (proof of completion must be submitted to the instructor at least 24 hrs prior to the class)
- Participants must show up on time with video and microphone available and working
- Participants must complete all three modules in order to receive a certificate (cerfiticates will not be granted if more than 30 minutes of module 2 or 3 is missed)
- Participants will be emailed with a link to the virtual classroom within 24 hours before class starts
- Participants have online access to view the reference guide for one year after completion of this course

Cancellation Policy:
A minimum of 8 participants is needed to hold a class, if the minimum is not met and your access code has been received, you will be rescheduled to a future date that works for you (with no refund available)
Over 31 days notice prior to the course date = full refund
30 days notice prior to the course date = 50% refund (non-transferrable)
Any cancellation requests 0-29 days before the course date = No refund (non-transferrable)
If a participant does not complete Mod 1 by the specified deadline, then that participant is not eligible for a refund and their registration is non-transferable
