This MHFA (Mental Health First Aid) Standard course is regulated and offered through the Mental Health Commission of Canada (https://openingminds.org/). The training is provided to Canadian residents only and will be delivered in English. Participants who successfully completed all the modules will be certified as a Canadian Mental Health First Aider.
Course facilitators: Dr. Lixia Yang and Lydia Yang from the Canada Mental Health Mutual-Aid Hub (MHMH) and Wellness Counselling Centre For Youth Canada (WCCYC).
Date: May 4, 2024
Time: 10 am – 5 pm
Fee: $225 (including the MHFA certificate).
Content: 2-hour self-directed on-line module (needs to be completed before the group Zoom meeting session), a 6-hour virtual Zoom group meeting (3 hours on declining mental wellbeing and 3 hours on MHFA for crisis situations).
