The Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Essentials Course builds the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to support someone who may be experiencing a decline in their mental well-being or a mental health or substance use crisis—until professional help becomes available.
Designed to be accessible and applicable across many settings, Essentials offers a strong foundation in MHFA principles without formal assessment or certification—making it an ideal option for individuals, teams, or communities seeking meaningful, time-efficient training.
This course is offered free to anyone with an association with the construction industry in Ontario, or related industry (paramedic, social services, etc.) There is room for anyone in Ontario to join this course at no cost.
Registrants will be required to confirm their association with the construction industry in Ontario.

Session 1 & 2 are offered over two Saturdays: Saturday July 18 and Saturday July 25, 2026, 3 1/2 hours of virtual class time each day.
Course will be delivered by Cindy Krysac, an experienced and trusted instructor who has provided Mental Health First Aid training for over 2,200 participants. She applies evidence based teaching methods to create an effective and comfortable learning experience, while inspiring participants with her knowledge and passion for mental health awareness and actions.
