Become a Certified Mental Health First Aid Facilitator
Mental health affects every community, every workplace, and every family. Yet stigma and lack of knowledge often prevent people from getting the support they need. The Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Facilitator Certification Training prepares you to change that. By becoming a certified facilitator, you will gain the skills to train others to recognize when someone is experiencing mental health or substance use challenges and how to provide safe, effective initial support.
This course is for people who want to lead change, reduce stigma, and empower others to take action.

Course structured for impact
The training spans 6 days (2 days covering the Mental Health First Aid Certification course (coming soon), and 4 days for the Facilitator Certification Training). Attendance is mandatory for the full duration of each session. Participants who miss more than 30 minutes of any training day will not be eligible to receive certification.
Application Process
- Submit an application: Provide detailed answers about your experience and motivation to facilitate MHFA.
- Approval: Applications are reviewed, and approval is valid for 12 months.
- Finalize registration: Once approved, complete payment to confirm your seat.
Investment and Refund Policy
- Payment confirms your registration.
- Cancellation more than 30 days before the course: full refund minus a 25% administration fee
- Cancellation within 30 days: non-refundable.
- Registration is non-transferable
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet all criteria:
- Minimum 2 years of front-line experience (paid or volunteer) in mental health or substance use sectors supporting adults.
- Proven experience facilitating group discussions, training, or presentations for groups of 8 or more.
- Strong knowledge of the mental health system and available services.
- Positive, supportive approach toward individuals living with mental illness.
- Strong commitment to reducing stigma and discrimination.
- Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, Zoom/MS Teams, and access to a computer with stable internet.
